Majors
Majors is a competitive level (i.e. score is kept) where the skill level and competition gets more advanced. All kids will be included in the batting lineup but only 9 will play the field at a time. Each team will bat until either 3 outs are recorded.
Prior to the season, new Majors players will participate in a player evaluation in order for coaches to select teams. If any player is unable to participate in the evaluation, they will be randomly assigned to a team.
Ages: 10-12
Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Home Field: All hosted games will be played at Fiesta Sports Complex on Field 4 (NE field)
Interleague Play: Teams may play teams from surrounding leagues and have games at Hughes Elementary (Mesa North Central's field) or Fiesta Sports Complex Field 1 (Mesa American's field)
Postseason: All teams will participate in a playoff tournament at the end of the season; Additionally, there will be a 12U All-Stars team made up of the best Majors players that will compete against the other All-Stars teams of District 7.
Awards: Trophies provided to Playoff Champion
